The day had finally arrived! After 2 years of planning, creating, arranging, choosing, trying and buying, it was time for Danika to marry the love of her life, and it was definately a night to remember.
Here is a recap of the day and night, followed by alot of pictures muahahaha.
The night before, all the bridesmaids stayed over Danika's to chill, have some dinner and wine, paint our toenails and watch disney movies! Was nice to have a girlie sleepover, and Dank and I stay up chatting about everything like the good ol' days when you have sleepovers. We made it until midnight just to say "todays the day!!" then got some beauty sleep for an early wake up call!
Up and at em by 7am, and it was straight into it! A hearty breakfast was had and we had barely finished before the ladies doing our hair and makeup arrived, soon followed by the photographer! We each took out turns in have our hair and makeup done whilst chatting, posing for photos an getting more and more excited for 3.30pm. Time seems to drag when you are waiting for something which it felt like, until all of a sudden, it was 2pm! We had an hour to finish up, all get dressed and get Danika into her dress and leave for the ceremony!!!!

Lucky we are all an organised bunch, and very quickly we were slipping into our dresses, getting touch-ups and helping Danika into her gown! It took 3 people to help lace up her dress, and 2 to put her shoes on while she stood up. And in no time at all, we were ready! Everyone looked beautiful and Danika looked just stunning, like the princess she is :p
With 15mins to the ceremony started and a 10 minute drive ahead of us, we piled into the mini bus and set off for the Lord Forest Hotel.

The drive there was quick, and we arrived with minutes to spare, but seriously, who's early to their own wedding?! We lined up inside, stood in order and then bam! it was time to shine! As the music started, we all made our way to the pool area where the ceremony was being held! I had to walk by myself which was so nerve-wrecking, not for the fact that everyone would be watching me, but because my shoes were seriously hard to walk in haha but we all made it, and it was now time to watch the bride enter.
The ceremony was quick and to the point which I personally liked. No long speeches about the ins and outs of love and commitment, straight into it and straight from the heart! Their vows to one another were beautiful and everyone beamed with happiness as they looked upon the newly married couple.

It became official, they were now Mr & Mrs Thomson :D now it was time to celebrate. We scurried around grabbing some photos with family and friends before heading off to the beach for some photos with the setting sun. We had group shots and individual shot with the bride and groom, and then it was time for Danika and Justin to have their shots together. We were very lucky the rain held off and some rays peeked out through the clouds over the ocean adding to the effect of some hopefully amazing shots!

It was time to head back so D&J could get some shots around the lobby. We all chilled and chatted to some friends and family whilst watching the photos being taken. Guests started moving into the reception area, and soon enough, it was time for us to make our entrance.
This time I got to walk in with Paul, the best man, so stumbling over wasnt so much a worry as before now that I had an arm to hold onto, but was still embarresed none the less when 2 tables of my friends all cheered me on as I was announced and walked in!
The bride and groom where announced and everyone cheered them in as they made their way to the main table and we were finally all seated and ready for the antics to begin! This was the first time I got the see the room all done up and it looked amazing! from the chair colours and sashes to the backdrop and lights around the bridal table, everything looked exactly as I imagined it! The cake was awesome, covering all the colours and was rainbow swirled under the white icing!

As the food rolled out, so did the fun! While Danika & Justin did the rounds to all the tables, I went around to chat to all my friends, see my parents and see Dan. They all seemed pretty set with unlimited wine and beer, and for some odd reason, wine was the drink of choice for the boys! Everyone was in high spirits and having a great time.

Soon, my most dreaded moment arrived, it was time for speeches!!! ARGH!!! I was lucky enough to have 3 others speak before me but was still a nervous wreck by the time it was my turn, but it was over as soon as it started, and I kept my cool (even though I missed a paragraph off my page oops). I was told it was a very nice speech and Danika had a few tears so I was happy with that! As long as he got the jist that I love her to pieces, that they are absolutely perfect for each other and that I hope her and Justin have a wonderful and amazing life together as husband and wife!
After a lovely first dance, the lights were dimmed, the music started, and it was time to dance and enjoy the remaining hours of the night.

It was a wonderful night! Old friends re-united and new friends joining together to celebrate the beginning of Justin and Danika's marriage! I know everyone had a fanatsic night (especially Dan and Warby who took full advantage of the wine) and everyone looked so beautiful all done up in their best! Danika looked like an absolute princess and Justin looked very much her handsome prince.
Not to appear vain, but I absolutely loved my makeup and wish I could have lashes like that all the time haha I felt so pretty and was very flattered to receive so many comments. Even got a comment from Dan which is very rare :P
I was, and still am, so thankful to be apart of their special day and I hope I played my part of MOH to the best of my ability for Danika!
So very much looking forward to the wedding photos that will come out over the coming weeks!
